What a week! I can't believe that it is Thursday already! And just wait for the events, films and theater plays that we have for you!
It is hard to believe that it has been 22 years since the first Jurassic Park was released. And, hand on heart, who does not remember that amazing film, in which the prehistoric world re-emerges thanks to some dubious scientific jiggery-pokery involving tree sap and frogs (if I remember rightly). Well now the franchise itself is coming back from apparent extinction in the form of Jurassic World! The new film is bigger, with new actors and new creatures, but maybe with a not-so-dissimilar story-line as its predecessors.
Are you a Shakespeare lover but feel that your English is not sufficient to be able to appreciate the genius of 'the bard'? No problem at all. Taking Flight theater comes with a new way of performing classical Shakespearean plays. All performances are suitable for people with hearing or visual impairment. One of the member of staff from the theater came to Peartree and informed us about this event. As all the plays are family-friendly and supported with audio description and BSL/SSE they are especially suitable for English student. So if you like A Winter's Tales by William Shakespeare do not hesitate to come to Thompson Park this Saturday at 6:30pm and buy the tickets for this play.
The last highlight of this week's What's On is BIANCO, a performance by NoFitState circus. As I saw this performance last year, I can tell you just one thing. You need to buy a ticket and go to see it! It is absolutely amazing, one of the best artistic performances I have ever seen and to be honest I am comparing it with the masterful Cirque De Soleil! The performance has everything. You will laugh, you will hold your breath, you might cry, but you will not believe that something like this is possible. The best part about the performance is that everything is happening around you and you have to stand and move with the artists. And the whole show is accompanied by a live band. It all makes for such a great atmosphere that you will have goosebumps! This is a show that can not be missed and as far as we know, this year it will be even better. Some of us at Peartree Languages have already bought tickets and we can not wait for it! I would highly recommend you to do the same. Well I think that is all for this week so enjoy!
