Nico'ZZ are a Four-piece blues band from France led by guitarist and vocalist Nicolas Zdankiewicz, one of a new breed of excellent young guitarists that are making them selves a name on the current blues circuit in Europe. Nico has recorded four albums; his third album ‘The Chicago Sessions’ was recorded in the USA with some of the best American blues musicians.

PADDLE FEST 2015

We have taster sessions running all day in canoe, kayak or SUP.  Sessions cost £10 and can be booked in advance. We will have space on the day but make sure you arrive early!
Looking for a more relaxed festival atmosphere? With Free entry why not grab a drink, something to eat and listen to the live music from the famous BLIMS. Late afternoon and evening will see the latest leg of the latest Euro Flowrider Tour.

WALES WALKING FESTIVAL 2015

A firmly established event in the calendar is the Wales Valleys Walking Festival taking place between 5th and 20th September 2015.On Sunday, the 6th of September you’ve got the opportunity to take a look at the industrial past of peaceful Machen.  The ‘Walk 5’ starts at Hapus Ice Cream parlour and  the 3 miles (5km) will take about 2 hours.
