The Overtones

The Overtonesare a five-piece vocal harmony group. Mike, Darren, Tim, Lachie and Mark. They were discovered by a Warner Brothers talent scout while working as decorators in a shop near Oxford Street, singing during their tea break. Their debut album Good Ol’Fashioned Love reached no. 4 in UK Album Chart. They have sold in excess of 500,000 copies of their first album. His auditions on X Factor had the Judges either up on their feet or reaching for the tissues. Jay went on to tour with the X factor in 2015. Simon Cowell called Jay James “Genius”. He has continued to write and produce music.

Paddle Fest

Try a new activity with a variety of beginner taster sessions throughout the day. The more experienced paddler can get some technical advice from the trade stalls – or hit the white water course on a ‘Park and Play’ session. Otherwise book one of the other fun filled activities including Air Trail, Indoor Surfing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and more! For those looking for a more relaxed festival atmosphere, visitors can grab a drink, something to eat from the BBQ and listen to the live music.

Scorch

For some the web is a place to be yourself. Out in the real world things can be very different. A story of first love through the eyes of a gender-curious teen, Scorch examines how the human story often gets lost amidst the headlines.Inspired by recent court cases, Scorch is written by Stacey Gregg, one of Northern Ireland’s most talented playwrights, and won the Irish Times Theatre Award for Best New Play in 2015.

Clive Hicks Jenkins

This latest exhibition features paintings and drawings based on the theme of Gawain and the Green Knight- a classic, vividly translated for the 21st century by Simon Armitage. He has also devised a series of limited-edition prints based on this medieval verse drama.
