The Marschallin comes to terms with the onward passage of time as her young lover falls for another. Richard Strauss's sumptuous opera offers comedy and poignant drama in equal measure.
Any production of Der Rosenkavalier is an occasion. And as we haven't performed it for over fifteen years we can't wait to get working on this touching and beautiful comedy-drama. Our genuine excitement is heightened by the fact that this production will see Rebecca Evans's debut in the iconic role of the Marschallin.
