Inside Out festival is coming back to Cardiff!

Giant Paper Sculptures

Jaw dropping creations from our theatre designers in this annual exhibition of giant paper sculptures made from all things used! This amazing exhibition will take place in Royal Welsh College until 29th of October.

Inside-out Festival

After an amazing event in 2016 with Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status & Wiley just to name a few, Inside Out Festival is coming back due to huge public demand to the legendary Bute Park Grounds in Cardiff. Expect things to be even bigger and better than last year! With a host of big name DJs and Live Acts entertaining the thousands of festival goers plus plenty of bars, extra stages, shisha gardens, street food stands and a huge Funfair, this years event will be like no other in the city. Inside Out Festival will kickoff on Saturday 30th September 2017. Performances will go on throughout the day and into the night, from noon to 10:30pm. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Inside Out Festival website.

Damascus. The war is on the street. The apartment has become a sort of bunker where everything is organised depending on poverty. Every day is just a struggle to survive until tomorrow. The men are gone, only the women and the elderly are left. But some other men appear. Everyone retreats to the kitchen. Everyone except one young woman, alone on the other side of the door.

Are you fancy a bit of americana/folk of M. G. Boulter and Bity Booker? The first mentioned is a singer and songwriter currently touring in Emily Portman’s Coracle band and Blue Rose Code. The other one is a quirky folk singer who performs with classical guitar and voice. With stories about a mouse, a sparrow, stars, trees and birds, each song is a character with a timeless personality and melody. Bity performs her own songs as well as songs from the Australian, English and American folk tradition.

First Thursday New Poetry and Fiction

Celebrate new poetry and fiction at October’s First Thursday event. Seren author Maria Donovan will read from her debut novel, The Chicken Soup Murder, a touching meditation on grieving, friendship and the meaning of family. Rebecca Parfitt will read poems from her debut collection, The Days After (Listen Softly London, 2017) and Susie Wild will also read new poetry. Susie is the author of two short story collections and a novella. Better Houses (Parthian, 2017) is her first poetry collection. After our guest readers we will have the famous Open Mic, and all are welcome to read up to one poem, or one page of prose.
