Are you getting ready for the witching hour? Have you carved your pumpkin and made your costume? The spookiest night of year is coming and you should celebrate it with a big party. We have some suggestions of where to go in Cardiff, to find the most terrifying creatures of the night. And if your costume takes the breath of the panel of judges in Pryzm Club away, you might be awarded with a £500 VIP package.
In case you want to keep the Halloween celebrations very quiet and maybe more sophisticated, you should certainly watch a film about a little girl who raised her voice against the Taliban. Malala was only 15 when she was shot in the head only because of her blog about life under the Taliban. Malala survived and now wants to share her story with the whole world. This truly incredible real story about this girl, who has never given up and even won the Nobel Peace Prize is coming to cinemas and I would even say that it is unmissable.
Have you ever been to a pub quiz? Well I have and it was a catastrophe, as I could see the gaps in my general knowledge. Well shame on me. But, our students have more courage and they have been going to the pub quiz at the Plum Tree (yes, we know, very similar to Peartree and also very close to our school). It is so popular with our students, that they go there every Wednesday, to fly the Peartree flag, and try their best. If you are free on Wednesday evening, please do not hesitate to join them and offer them your help, as obviously with more people, they could get a better result.
Enjoy!
