Remember, remember the coming of November...

November is here and the tradition of fireworks and bonfires too. I suppose that the sky will be lit up through the whole weekend (evenings mostly of course) and everywhere you go, people will wear this funny moustache, saying "Remember, remember"... Though there are a couple of positive things about the whole month.
A - Christmas markets are here (!!) and the Winter Wonderland as well!! And if you would like to know a secret, there will be something going on at Peartree Languages and we might have some fun very soon on one Saturday. (Wink, wink... I am not going to tell you any more at the moment).
B - Christmas will be here very soon and the festive season is in the air. Apparently it should be one of the coldest winters in five years, so get your warm clothes ready! Especially those of you, who are not use to walking through snow and the fact that it might even be below zero outside. If you are too cold, I recommend you to go back to the point A, visit Christmas Markets and have some mulled wine.
So, even if you didn't have much fun over Halloween, you can enjoy the whole of November.

At this point I would like to say, that I am quite upset about the fact that the beautiful rugby ball has gone from the castle's wall. I secretly hoped, that it would remain there for a longer time, but unfortunately they decided to take it down. I just hope that somebody will come up with some great new idea and something spectacular will hit the walls of Cardiff Castle again.

A Film: BURNT
Cineworld Cinemas - Mary Ann Street, Cardiff CF10 2EN
At 16, Adam Jones dropped out of school in the US and bought a one-way ticket
to Paris. Determined to become a Michelin starred chef, he succeeded beyond
his wildest dreams. But that success came at a price. Having achieved too much
too young, he became locked into a downward spiral of drug-driven debauchery and lost everything. Today, he's in London, determined to take the restaurant scene by storm again. But can this driven and demanding superstar chef really conquer his demons and beat the odds stacked against him? This is a deeply emotional and surprisingly funny tale of obsession and second chances from director John Wells and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Steven Knight. The superb supporting cast includes Sienna Miller, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson.
Cost: £3 for students

   CARDIFF DANCE FESTIVAL: IDIOT-SYNCRASY
Chapter, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff CF5 1QE
We started out wanting to change the world with a performance. We felt like idiots. Then we danced a lot. We jumped. We called on the folk traditions of Sardinia and the Basque Country. We sang. We jumped some more. We committed. Now we promise to stick together. We promise to persevere. We promise to do our best.
Igor and Moreno sing, dance and jump their way through this touching, humorous and inspiring piece.
Cost: £12 for students (£14 others)
   Time: from 8.00pm
