It might sound like a cliche, but I do not remember such a busy January! I do not even have time to stop, but I am planing to chill out during the weekend. I can imagine that you are very busy as well, so here are some suggestions for you.
Due to the coming Oscar awards, the cinema will be full of nominated films and I have chosen one for this week as well. The Big Short is actually nominated in several categories; Best Picture, Actor in a Supporting Role and Directing. The film brings us to the world of Wall Street (maybe a coincidence after such a success with the film The Wolf of Wall Street) and it seems that this topic is very popular now. Four outsiders to Wall Street use what are sometimes perceived as eccentric insights into the U.S. financial markets to predict the meltdowns of the housing market and big banks. The film is like a concert of all big movie stars, including Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell and Brad Pitt.
On Thursday evening we have a small surprise for you. As playing a pool has became one of the favourite activities of our students, we have decided to organize a Pool evening with Nicky. She loves pool as well and she is really good at it. Just let us know at the main desk, who would like to go and play. Meet at 6pm at the Super Bowl at the Millennium Plaza and she will see you there!
Have a lovely week and enjoy!
