Spotlight, a film nominated for the Oscars, in our new What's On

If I were to describe Spotlight, another film nominated for the Oscars, in one word, I would choose "shocking". Because of the fact that the film was inspired by true story, I would say even more shocking. The plot of the film brings us to Boston Globe, probably one of the most popular papers in the States and the uncovering of an incredible story about a local priest community. After Boston Globe gets a new editor, who brings up a story about a local priest abusing children, a special department called 'Spotlight' starts to get more involved in the whole case. Their findings are incredible and unfortunately are not only a local problem, but it goes further beyond the borders.
The film is nominated for the Oscars in several categories and has already won a couple of awards, such as BAFTA and AFI Awards.
This week is without any rugby games, which is a bit of a shame, but I understand that even the players need to have a break sometimes. Though the match with France next week might bring some of nice action to the Principality stadium (btw. I really don't like the name, Millennium was much better), so I would recommend you book the tables in a pub, because later on, the city center will just be full.
If you have more free time than just one evening, do not hesitate and get inspired by our new What's On!
Enjoy!
