Art Central, Barry’s gallery space in the Town Hall, is a big and airy and Dilys Jackson‘s artworks covering 70 years filled it gloriously for a popular opening.
Retrospectives are always interesting because you can see new sides to an artist – such as the sketch books beside finished works, or, in Dilys’ case, the picture of a pitta bird she did when 7 years old in Sri Lanka.
