A show full of magic and a great festival in Cardiff in our new What's On

Performed entirely on and under a kitchen table, this wee wonder of a show is full of Lyngo magic with feathery spinning birds, a flying house and a portable forest. CBeebies star Patrick Lynch brings this classic story to life in a playful and fascinating show.

Depot in the castle

After a successful depot in the park last year, Cardiff’s vehome grown summer festival is back in a stunning new location! Depot in the castle 2018 will be held at the stunning grounds of Cardiff Castle, right in the heart of the Welsh capital. This year features an incredible line-up of two sensational headliners . Get ready to jump with the Fratellis, and get your groove on with the legends Sister Sledge! There’s more live music with the return of The Hackney Colliery Band, and we’ll also have Fleetmac Wood who’ll be playing out those Fleetwood Mac hits plus a special guest TBA.
Brought to you by local venue depot, depot in the castle, is a fun family festival for everyone to enjoy, so expect: daisy’s dressing up box, plenty of glitters, and a host of kids activities throughout the day to keep the kids entertained.
We’ll also have hosting a mini Bingo Lingo rave, and of course, we’ll be bringing you an incredible line up of street food including British street food winner Brother Thai, Mr Croquewich, Ffwrnes pizza, The Pork Society, That Fish Guy and a whole lot more!

Paul Lewis brings all his poetry and insight to music by Beethoven, Haydn and Brahms. As one of our most perceptive living pianists, Lewis understands the unspoken connections between great masterpieces. But his performances are always intensely personal too, and in this beautifully-chosen programme he contrasts Haydn’s rapid-fire wit with Brahms at his darkest and Beethoven at his most playful.
