Betty is rich; Betty is lonely; Betty’s busy working on her truck; Betty wants to talk about love, but Betty needs to hit something. And Betty keeps using a small hand mirror to stare into parts of herself she’s never examined. Five different women named Betty collide at the intersection of anger, sex, and the “thea-tah.”

The Cory Band returns to the Dora Stoutzker Hall for the 2018 Final of the RWCMD Cory Composition Prize, on an evening that celebrates new music for brass. As well as hearing the final shortlisted three entries, the winner of which will be decided by a panel of judges on the night, Cory will be joined by the Wallace Collection, fronted by trumpet virtuoso John Wallace, to perform Scottish composer Jay Capperauld's new piece As Above, So Below. It's always an exciting evening of thrills and spills, which will be enhanced by Cory's usual collection of World-class soloists, and its latest blockbusting concert repertoire.

Volvo Ocean Race Cardiff Stopover

This October, the Volvo Ocean Race fleet will set off from Alicante, Spain on a race around the world, visiting 12 cities touching six continents – and for the first time in its history the race will stop in Cardiff, Wales from 27 May to 10 June.
With a variety of entertainment, Volvo Ocean Race-themed attractions and food and drink stalls, the Race Village festival site is guaranteed to appeal to a variety of people looking for an exciting day out.
